The Prophet sal Allahu alayhi wa sallam has a beautiful statement:
If someone curses you or tries to find fault with you, in a matter that does not exist in you then do not find fault with him in a matter that he does have.
In the last week, I have heard on more than one occassion people that identify themselves as traditional Muslims claim that those they deem to be salafi do not speak about purification of the heart. This is a completely baseless lie and accusation.

those who think they purify themselves in manners which Allah did not percribe are only taninting themslves.
one can speak as much as they want about purification, but when their actions contradict, when there is hardly any waraa and always on the edge of falling in haram then the speech is useless.
I deem my self as a Salafi and those who make this false accusation are welcome to my blog, and there are plenty of blogs who are written by salafiyeen that write much more about purity and ihsan than they write about manhaj

I do not have the exact reference but that statement was mentioned in a khutbah by Abu Ammar Yasir Qadhi called I Have Only Been Sent to Perfect Good Manners.
