The 9th Erase Racism Blog Carnival is here and one of my entries has been featured. It’s kind of humbling to be included with bloggers that express profund thoughts and can actually write well because I don’t think I’m one of them.
From the Storehouse: Thinking about Race & Class
Update: Amad’s entry could easily have been included in the Erase Racism Blog Carnival.
Asalaamu alaikum ukhti,
I disagree and that is why I asked your permission to include your post. Certainly, I have alot of respect for the people who submit to the Carnival and I am a big supporter of it, but I would not say they are all great writers or particularly profound all the time. Anyway, the idea behind the Carnival is to have a nice variety of viewpoints and thought-provoking writing. I hope that the inclusion of your post, which I loved, will open some eyes and hearts inshaAllah.

Asalamu alaykum,
Aaminah: Alhamdulillah, I’m always somewhat surprised and humbled when people tell me they enjoyed a sampling of my writing or my food because it’s hard for me to step outside of my head and experience my work.
Suhaa: Long time, no see. I pray all is well with you and your family in Madinah. My tagline is first and foremost a reminder to myself to guard my tongue.
