I bought this sleeping bag today to use in i’tikaaf so I may not be around much for the next ten days or so. In sha Allah, I may post some gems or on a topic that is really important otherwise, feel free to browse the archives or check out our group blog which I’ve been neglecting over at Empty Stomach, Full Heart – updated link. A’ishah (radhiallahu `anha) reported:
When the (last) ten started, the Prophet (sallallahu `alayhi wa sallam) would tighten his izaar (i.e., get serious), spend the whole night awake (in prayer), and wake up his family.” [Al-Bukhari and Muslim]
And she said:
Allah’s Messenger (sallallahu `alayhi wa sallam) used to exert more (in worship) on the last ten than on other nights. [Muslim]

I’m sure you are not a quite a loser as you are taking care of your daughter who is absolutely adorable. Several of my friends have had children in the last year and my respect, admiration, and appreciation for parents has increased tremendously seeing how much love and care they shower on their children and manage the difficulties with a patience I can’t even begin to imagine.
Anyways, Koonj I prayed for you and your family in the last third of the night and please don’t forget me in your dua. I am perhaps more in need of it than you.
