I bought this sleeping bag today to use in i’tikaaf so I may not be around much for the next ten days or so. In sha Allah, I may post some gems or on a topic that is really important otherwise, feel free to browse the archives or check out our group blog which I’ve been neglecting over at Empty Stomach, Full Heart – updated link. The archives are down at the bottom of the page under the word “storehouse”.
By the way, if you have not previously commented on my blog, my default setting will put your comments in the moderation queue until I am able to view them so please be patient if some time elapses before your comments are approved.
A’ishah (radhiallahu `anha) reported:
When the (last) ten started, the Prophet (sallallahu `alayhi wa sallam) would tighten his izaar (i.e., get serious), spend the whole night awake (in prayer), and wake up his family.” [Al-Bukhari and Muslim]
And she said:
Allah’s Messenger (sallallahu `alayhi wa sallam) used to exert more (in worship) on the last ten than on other nights. [Muslim]
inshaAllah thats my plan as well 🙂
Will you pleaaase pray for me during aitikaf? I am such a loser this Ramadan.
I’m sure you are not a quite a loser as you are taking care of your daughter who is absolutely adorable. Several of my friends have had children in the last year and my respect, admiration, and appreciation for parents has increased tremendously seeing how much love and care they shower on their children and manage the difficulties with a patience I can’t even begin to imagine.
Anyways, Koonj I prayed for you and your family in the last third of the night and please don’t forget me in your dua. I am perhaps more in need of it than you.
