and of enlivening the sunnah, I want to offer 1 or 2 free CD’s from Faith (Foundation for Authentic Islamic Texts and Heritage) Publications free of charge and with free shipping to anyone who would like to receive them.

Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) relates that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: None of you truly believes until he loves for his brother what he loves for himself. [Bukhari and Muslim]

Safi Khan - Vol. 1Selected Khutbah Series – Vol. 1 includes an Eid Khutbah entitled Forgiveness and another entitled Giving Salaam. The first lecture helped me to let go past wrongs and grudges and to make forgiveness a part of my life and the second lecture helped me to overcome my shyness to welcome people to the masjid.

Safi Khan - Vol. 2Selected Khutbah Series – Vol. 2 includes lectures entitled In Need of Allah and Importance of the Quran. After the second lecture, I focused on learning to read Arabic and memorizing the Quran by taking the step mentioned at the end of the lecture.

All the lectures were given by Safi Khan, the Imam of the Dar-us-Salaam community in College Park, Maryland.

Safi Khan, is the founder and Imam of Dar-us-Salaam and Al-Huda School in College Park, MD. He holds a degree in Economics. He has studied with world-renowned scholars in Saudi Arabia and has also attended Al-Azhar University in Cairo and Imam Muhammad ibn Saud University in Riyadh. He is well studied in matters of fiqh, tafsir and seerah. He has been a prominent da’ee, family and youth counselor in the Washington DC metropolitan area for the last 20 years.
