I am fasting, I am fasting

Abu Hurayrah reported that the Prophet sal Allahu alayhi wa sallam said:

Fasting is a shield. Let no one who is fasting commit any obscenity or foolishness. Should anyone engage him in a fight or abuse him, let him answer him by saying: I am fasting, I am fasting.

I have been summoned to a meeting for a “discussion” tomorrow at 1030am with my immediate supervisor (who happens to be on vacation), her boss the Assistant Director, and her boss’s boss the Director.

Although, I was given a partial heads up, I have a feeling that I am going to be attacked verbally. I’ve butted heads with the AD and the D in the last few months so now it seems to be coming to a head.

In sha Allah, I will prepare my response tonight so that I will be able to respond in an appropriate fashion.

  1. Asalamu alaykum,

Thank you for your prayers. Overall, it was a very frustrating meeting and day at work which left me longing for the mental release of the taraweeh prayer.
